20 miles for 20 years
Here at Wootton George Consulting we are looking back on our first 20 years. In that time, we have worked with several hundred charities and good causes and, we hope, have made a difference to the lives of thousands. Over these 20 years we've been privileged to see countless charities grow in their work with our support, whether that was helping them plan their fundraising, or researching sources of funds or helping them to approach donors and funders.
So our 20th anniversary is really a celebration of our clients' success in attracting funding, growing their projects and helping more people to experience a better quality of life.
Here are some recent examples. We'll be celebrating the work of "Kaleidoscope Plus" as they work to support positive mental health in the Midlands and beyond. We will be celebrating alongside "Shine" as they continue to support over 11,000 people living with or affected by Spinabifida and Hydrocephalus across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We will be celebrating with Derbyshire Wildlife Trust as they conserve and protect wildlife in Derbyshire. Joining the 'party' will also be Graeae Theatre Company, the UK's foremost disabled theatre, with its pioneering performances and award-winning shows. I hope you get the idea. This celebration is not really about us, but the celebration of our support to so many organisations that achieve extraordinary things. Without them, we would not be here.
Part of our celebrations will be a fundraising effort to support the work of "Climate Stewards" who have been our chosen partner charity for six years now. They carry out fantastic work in educating people about climate change and providing ways for communities in developing countries to access resources, while reducing their carbon footprint. Our director Simon George will be swimming 20 miles this year to raise support for this charity.
